A chieftain of the APC in the state and former Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, Chief Christopher Ayeni has described as okay the list of ambassadorial nominees recently released by the federal government.
Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki announced last week during the sitting of the upper legislative chamber that President Muhammadu Buhari had sent a list of 47 new ambassadors to the Nigerian Senate for confirmation.
Two Kwarans, Olufemi Ibikoye and Kadiri Ayinla Audu were among the nominees.
The list has generated diverse opinions from political chieftains in the state and across the country following the absence of popular political figures among the nominees.
Ayeni said there is nothing to worry about in the list since all the nominees are all career diplomats.
The President picked all of them from the 36 states including Kwara, career diplomats who have been in the civil service for quite long.
And since they are not politicians, there is nothing to worry about than to look at how they can improve the lot of Kwara up there and be good ambassadors of the state.
There are even some states that have complained of marginalsation and yet we got two. So I think there is absolutely no reason to over hit the polity on this issue.
It would be recalled that Ebonyi State last week decried being left out of the list so far released by the federal government.
