Man caught for motorcycle theft

The men of the Special Anti- Robbery Squad, Kwara State Police Command last Friday arrested one Wahab Solihu for alleged theft of a motorcycle in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The middle aged suspect of Ayetoro Street Isale Koko, Ojagboro was said to have stolen the motorcycle at Adeta area within the metropolis.

A police source told Pilot Crime that Solihu was arrested during patrol at 8pm following a tip off.

The suspect, according to the source, confessed to have stolen the motorcycle during interrogation by the police.

“Through investigation, the officers in charge of the case were able to trace the rightful owner of the bike, Azeez Idris of Oko-Olowo area, who confirmed it had plate number PTG 209 UZ, which was removed by the suspect.”

“The owner confirmed that his motorcycle was stolen on the 28th of February at Adeta area, where he went to transact business.

All efforts to get the Police Public Relation officer of Kwara State Police Command, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi to confirm the case proved abortive as calls to his phone were not picked at the time of filing this report.
