Kwara United FC began their campaign in the Nigeria National League on a brighter note as they defeated FC Taraba by a lone goal at the Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo.

The Coach, John Obuh tutored side dominated the proceedings of the match from the blast of the whistle to the end.

Sunday Odudu broke the deadlock in the 26 minutes of the match to give the Harmony boys the three maximum points.

However, the team’s psychology and cameraman were beaten by the irate fans of the home team at half time.

Reacting to the victory, United technical adviser and former U-20 National Coach Obuh commended his boys for the zeal and commitment displayed during the match, even assured that the loopholes identified in the game would be corrected before their week two fixture against Zamfara FC on Saturday at the main bowl of the Kwara state Stadium complex Ilorin.
