He added that his party has embarked on series of sensitising programmes ahead the local government elections in the state adding that the APC-led government should announce the election modalities.
“Local government elections must hold, you will soon see the actions we are deploying to force the APC do the right things. We are on ground; we are only awaiting their order. This is a state that is law abiding and everything that will be done politically must follow the tenet of law too,” Oyedepo said.

According to him, the party has been holding series of meeting across the sixteen local governments in the state just to prepare the party for the task ahead.
Onagun also debunked the allegation that LP will not be participating in the poll, saying the news emanated from those who do not want the party to feature in the poll for the fear of being defeated.
“Our party is ready for the poll, there is no issue on our candidates because they are the peoples’ choice, and we’ve been holding meetings from ward level, local government, zonal, senatorial and state level. They must conduct it, we must force them to do the legal thing, we are not in any way afraid.
“Those who claimed that we don’t have candidates to field on the various positions are those who are afraid of been defeated by us. All what we expect now is for the whistle to kick starts the preparation,” he said.
The National Vice Chairman North central of All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA) Engr. Sule Ajayi told this medium that the election has lost credibility because of frequent postponement.
He said “Too long expectation and frequent postponement, it is long overdue in the state”
Meanwhile, the leadership of KOWA party in the state has said it doesn’t believe in the visibility of the poll saying the party is only leaving on hope.
The Kwara state chairman of the party, Alhaji AbdurRahman Omotosho, maintained that series of indications from the state government has implied that the election will not hold this year.
Speaking on why his party would not believe in the visibility of the poll is due to the fact that the state government has refused to appoint electoral committee till now.
He said, “We don’t believe in the visibility of the poll, till now government did not constitute the electoral committee, we are only leaving on hope in our party and we are equally preparing so that whenever the date is fixed, we can come up,”
