Customers of Skye Bank Challenge branch, Ilorin, Kwara State were on Tuesday seen ranting over   poor network, which prevented them from carrying out online bank transaction.
One of the customers was overheard saying that he had tried transferring money to Access Bank for three days without success.
He blamed the development on the dwindling fortune of the financial institution.
The customer said, “The Central Bank of Nigeria has recently issued a directive to the bank to reduce its borrowing to customers.
“The CBN asked the bank to sanction defaulters who are failing to remit their borrowed funds within a stipulated period. But I don’t think that has been done. The bank operation has been very bad lately,” he added.
According to the customer, “The bank would have liquidated but for fact that most of the CBN staff have shares in it.”
An official of the bank appealed to the obviously frustrated customers, assuring that the problem will be fixed soon.
